NOVOTEST Lab app for Android and iOS
NOVOTEST Lab extends what compatible NOVOTEST instruments can do by connecting them to your Android or iOS phone or tablet over Bluetooth. You can control the device, change its settings, calibrate it, watch results come in and build full reports, all from the screen in your hand.
The app makes use of everything your phone already has: the touchscreen, camera, microphone and GPS receiver. That means you can photograph the test point, record a voice note, tag the location on a map and share a finished report before you have left site.
The app is free to download.
Measurement mode
- Live readings with graph, histogram and statistics views
- Maximum, minimum and average values calculated automatically
- Choose the units, materials or scales you want to work in
- Voice recording of measurement results, with a range of voice settings
Calibration
- Simple, intuitive interface that needs no training
- Step-by-step on-screen instructions for calibrating the device
- Back up your calibrations and restore them whenever you need to
Documenting results
- Mark where each measurement was taken with a photo
- Record video, and add text or audio notes
- Pin the location on Google Maps using the phone's GPS
- Add the operator's details and signature
Reports and sharing
- Built-in measurement protocol (report) generator
- Export to CSV or PDF
- QR code on the report to open the protocol online
- Send by email or messenger, or print on a compatible printer
Online archive
- Your measurements stored in the cloud and available on any device
- View as a list, on a map or in a calendar
- Share with a link or QR code, and generate PDF or CSV reports

Compatible instruments
The app works with NOVOTEST instruments that have a Bluetooth module. These ones are available from us:

- NOVOTEST Lab UCI Pro Wireless Hardness Tester
- NOVOTEST UT-2A Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge (A-scan)
It also works with other NOVOTEST models, including the T-UD2 series (T-D2, T-U2, T-UD2), T-D3, T-U3, UT-1M, UT-1M-IP, the TP-2020 coating thickness gauge and the DPM Lab dew point meter. Contact us if you are interested in one of these.
What you need
