NOVOTEST UD3701 Ultrasonic Flaw Detector
The NOVOTEST UD3701 is the top version of the NOVOTEST ultrasonic flaw detector range, built around a large, bright multi-touch display for use in the field. The 800×480 TFT screen stays clear in both dark and bright surroundings, and you can switch between dark and light colour schemes to suit the environment.
You can work either on the touchscreen or from the keyboard. Parameter blocks on screen can be moved around, an auto-zoom electronic magnifier and a fill function make signals easier to read, and envelope mode captures the maximum signal. Previously stored measurements can be replayed in a simulation, and results can be moved to a PC through the supplied software.
For evaluating indications, the UD3701 offers DAC curves with up to 16 points, TVG, and a DGS mode that sizes defects as equivalent reflectors automatically. Two independent gates give audible and visual alerts, and the probe delay can be calculated automatically. It is built for inspection work in the field.
